As you may be aware, HITO
launched Qualifications by Experience (QbyE) inMarch 2007. The response
from the relaunch has been incredible, a popular talking point in the
industry. HITO also ran a promotion that waived the $200.00 application
fee for each application for the first six months from it's launch. This
was an opportunity for Hairdressers and Barbers who have been in the
industry for at least 8 years and gained hands on experience to gain a
formal qualification. The process is simple and uncomplicated.
During the first 6 months we recieved 78 applications and in the first year a total of 90 applications were received and feedback from candidates has been very positive. In October last year we promised another promotion to the industry and today we can announce it. |

As you might be aware, HITO is celebrating 40 years of formal hairdressing qualifications in New Zealand this year. As part of the celebrations, HITO is offering the industry 40 free QbyE applications. |

So if you or someone you know is experience but is still not qualified, don't keep it a secret, QbyE it! There really is no better time. Applications can be obtained though our National Office or you can download an application form from this website. |
