The NZ Hairdressing Industry Training Organisation Inc. (HITO) continues to be thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved with the Inzone Mobile Career Unit and to showcase hairdressing as a fantastic career option for people of all ages, genders and ethnicities.

Currently, the Inzone Experience Unit is visiting over 400 secondary schools allowing a wide variety of students the opportunity to discover and investigate potential career choices that they may not have been aware of.

It will continue to showcase apprenticeships in hairdressing as a valid earning and learning opportunity which can be started at school through the Gateway programme.

With the increasing demand for qualified hairdressers in New Zealand, now is the time to consider an apprenticeship as a first choice of career option - especially as it does not result in a large student loan to pay off but does result in a National Certificate (Level 4).

A hairdressing apprenticeship provides the opportunity to learn on the job in a real world environment and earn a real wage too.
